Job Description
- Develop proposals for automation, mechanization, specialized tooling, and manufacturing methods.
- Conduct studies on new and complex components, including time, cost, and manufacturability assessments.
- Evaluate new equipment for production suitability and prepare recommendations for leadership.
- Collaborate with product design, tooling, quality, and production engineering teams to optimize manufacturability.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Prepare process documentation, reports, test summaries, and maintain relevant project records.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with mechanical or machine design principles.
- CAD proficiency, ideally with SolidWorks.
- Understanding of machinery, linkages, pressure vessels, and precision fits/tolerances.
- Project management experience and the ability to support multiple programs simultaneously.
