Description
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership, driving a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure consistent application and development of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including reporting and recordkeeping
- Partner with cross-functional HR teams to align practices across multiple locations
- Support Workers' Compensation and disability programs in collaboration with EHS teams
- Lead compliance reporting initiatives such as Affirmative Action Plans (AAP)
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and community outreach
- Mentor junior HR team members and contribute to broader HR strategy
Profile
The successful applicant should have:
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within manufacturing or an industrial environment
- Union experience preferred, with strong understanding of labor relations
- Proven ability to manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
- Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and support junior team members
- HR certification (SHRM or PHR) preferred
