Description
Daily Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T and ensure accurate part conformance
- Support AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality system requirements
- Lead and support FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports)
- Conduct and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Provide technical quality support to internal teams and external customers
- Utilize SPC (Statistical Process Control) and other quality tools to improve processes
- Collaborate with machining, engineering, and inspection teams to resolve issues
- Support customer audits and internal audit readiness
Initial Priorities:
- Take ownership of assigned aerospace customer product lines
- Quickly understand the company's machining processes & quality workflows
- Begin handling FAIRs, corrective actions, and blueprint reviews
- Build strong working relationships with inspection and engineering teams
Profile
A successful Quality Engineer should have:
- Experience with AS9100
- Strong competency in GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience with FAIRs
- Hands-on experience with corrective actions / RCA investigations
- Exposure to SPC
- Engineering degree preferred, not required
