We are seeking a licensed and motivated Project Engineer (PE) to support the execution of complex substation engineering projects. Job Description
- Lead the execution of substation design projects from concept through construction and commissioning phases.
- Develop and review engineering deliverables, including calculations, layouts, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Provide subject matter expertise in protection & control, relay settings, and physical substation design.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to align scope, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Perform quality assurance reviews on drawings and design packages to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Support field activities such as testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting when needed.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and company design practices.
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting support, and risk identification.
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all engineering and field activities.
- Utilize engineering tools and Microsoft Office applications to support documentation and communication.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and best practice development.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Project Manager III - Substation Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Demonstrated experience in substation engineering and design.
- Strong knowledge of protection & control systems and substation layouts.
- Ability to manage complex technical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
