Our client is a well-established General Contractor that has been successfully delivering public-sector construction projects throughout New Jersey since the early 2000s. The immediate focus for this hire will be supporting a police station renovation project within a municipal building, while also assisting with other public construction projects throughout the region. Job Description
- Project Coordination: Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination activities
- Documenation: Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence
- Team Leadership: Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are met
- Schedule Management: Assist with project scheduling and monitor progress against established timelines
- Quality Control: Conduct site visits to monitor progress and support field operations as needed
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and public-sector regulations
- Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience
- Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, Field Engineer, or similar construction role
- Experience working for a General Contractor is required
- Exposure to both office and field operations is strongly preferred. Public-sector project experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, small-company environment
