About Our Client

Our client is a well-established General Contractor that has been successfully delivering public-sector construction projects throughout New Jersey since the early 2000s. With a tight-knit team and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, the company specializes in projects ranging from $1M-$10M, including schools, municipal buildings, libraries, and public parks.

The immediate focus for this hire will be supporting a police station renovation project within a municipal building, while also assisting with other public construction projects throughout the region. The company offers employees the opportunity to work closely with leadership, gain broad project exposure, and make a meaningful impact on every project they support.

Job Description

  • Project Coordination: Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination activities
  • Documenation: Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are met
  • Schedule Management: Assist with project scheduling and monitor progress against established timelines
  • Quality Control: Conduct site visits to monitor progress and support field operations as needed
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and public-sector regulations

    • Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience
    • Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, Field Engineer, or similar construction role
    • Experience working for a General Contractor is required
    • Exposure to both office and field operations is strongly preferred. Public-sector project experience preferred
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
    • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, small-company environment
