Job Description
- Determining production schedules based on customer demand and departmental requirements.
- Communicating production needs and priorities with planning and cross-functional manufacturing teams.
- Training team members and ensuring timely completion of production routing and order documentation.
- Monitoring production performance and providing coaching to achieve or exceed established production standards.
- Conducting interviews and supporting hiring decisions in partnership with plant leadership.
- Documenting machine setups, fixturing requirements, work instructions, and quality expectations for the team.
- Auditing quality control records, inspections, work-in-progress identification, and production order confirmations for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborating with plant leadership to implement process improvements while maintaining production commitments.
The Successful Applicant
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of production, manufacturing, or related industry experience.
- 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with production processes, quality control, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Lean, Six Sigma, CPIM, CSCP, or similar industry certifications preferred.
