Job Description
- Lead and hold full accountability for all production staff.
- Troubleshoot technical and process issues alongside the team.
- Order tooling and repair parts, work directly with vendors, improve designs, and negotiate pricing.
- Research alternative tooling and repair options to keep costs competitive.
- Design and redesign tools to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle for production staff, hiring, training, performance reviews, discipline, and terminations.
- Review production schedules to plan staffing, inventory, tooling, and workflows within budget and timing constraints.
- Build and improve production tracking and quality systems to drive efficiency.
- Partner closely with Maintenance on equipment issues and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate new equipment installs and facility modifications.
- Review prints and documentation for all updated jobs.
- Use EstiTrack to manage material flow and job readiness.
- Lead and participate in regular production meetings to keep teams aligned.
The Successful Applicant
- 5 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for operations, planning, and people.
- 5 years of hands‑on machining or tool design experience.
- Comfortable using comparators, micrometers, and standard inspection equipment.
- Experience working in an ISO‑certified manufacturing environment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Able to inspect equipment and materials to identify root causes of defects or issues.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to juggle priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear, confident written and verbal communicator.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Gmail.
- Experience working with an ERP system, preferred.
- Compensation up to $90,000
