Job Description

• Lead and mentor estimators and junior team members
• Develop detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Plan project timelines, sequencing, and procurement strategies
• Manage prequalification packages and bid submissions
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of estimates and budgets
• Provide regular updates to leadership and client stakeholders
• Identify risk factors and develop contingency plans
• Stay current with estimating tools, technology, and industry trends
• Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in site visits as needed

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Preconstruction Manager Should Have

• 2 years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Experience with ground-up CM at-risk projects preferred
• Strong understanding of construction cost and scheduling principles
• Familiarity with project management and estimating software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, professional, and solutions-oriented mindset
