Multifamily Project Manager

A well-established construction firm is urgently seeking a Project Manager to oversee wood frame multifamily projects from preconstruction through completion. This is a full-time, onsite role based out of their Garfield office, offering the opportunity to lead high-impact residential builds.

The company is a diversified general contractor with a strong presence in the New Jersey market. Their portfolio includes commercial, retail, healthcare, and residential projects, though they consistently favor candidates with residential construction experience. Known for their collaborative culture and hands-on approach, they value PMs who take ownership of both field execution and preconstruction planning.

Description

• Manage all phases of multifamily wood frame construction projects.

• Lead preconstruction efforts including estimating, bid leveling, and scope review.

• Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and site operations.

• Use Bluebeam and Procore for project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and tracking.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and financials.

Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in wood frame multifamily construction.

• Strong background in preconstruction, estimating, and bid analysis.

• Proficiency in Bluebeam and Procore is highly preferred.

• Residential construction experience is strongly favored.

• Must be able to work onsite in Garfield 5 days a week (non-negotiable).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Job Offer

• Base Salary: up to $145K (depending on experience)

• Time Off: 2 weeks PTO to start, plus 1 week of sick leave.

• Paid Holidays: Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving day after, Christmas.

• Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus, discussed at year-end.

• Retirement: 401(k) with limited employer match (eligible after 1 year).

• Profit Sharing: Available after 1 year with phased vesting.
