Job Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical design engineers.
- Manage resource planning, workload allocation, and project prioritization.
- Oversee the design and development of custom machinery, automation systems, robotics, and tooling.
- Drive engineering best practices, design standards, and technical quality initiatives.
- Lead complex engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical presentations.
- Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent to support organizational growth.
- Provide technical guidance and support for challenging engineering problems

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7 years of machine design experience within industrial automation, custom equipment, robotics, or related environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using SolidWorks for design and modeling.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects while balancing multiple priorities.
- Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility highly preferred.
- Experience using SolidWorks FEA and CFD tools.
- Exposure to ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
