Job Description
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and support hands-on repair activities to minimize downtime.
- Identify root causes of recurring equipment, process, and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Improve equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Support equipment installations, commissioning, startups, and capital improvement projects.
- Optimize machine performance, uptime, yields, throughput, waste reduction, and setup times.
- Analyze production, downtime, and quality data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Support process development, production trials, and capacity improvement initiatives.
- Develop and improve operating procedures, process controls, work instructions, and operator training.
- Investigate product quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support customer complaint investigations and nonconforming material resolution.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, vendors, and suppliers to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer commitments.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- 3-7 years of manufacturing, process, equipment, or mechanical engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on industrial equipment troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with bearings, drives, motors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors.
- Electrical and controls troubleshooting experience including PLCs, VFDs, motors, and industrial controls preferred.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective actions, process controls, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in paper, converting, coating, laminating, packaging, printing, web handling, slitting, or other continuous-process manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Resourceful, hands-on problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
- Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and assisting with equipment repairs when needed.
- Strong communication, initiative, accountability, and follow-through.
