This role partners closely with the Accounts Recievable and Legal team, as well as outside counsel as needed.

Description

• Manage collections processes, ensuring timely payments from clients and tenants.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications.
• Collaborate with the legal department to address non-payment issues and initiate appropriate legal actions when necessary.
• Review and analyze delinquent accounts to determine effective strategies for resolution.
• Handle negotiations and payment arrangements with clients and tenants in a professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to collections and property management.
• Prepare detailed reports on collection activities for internal stakeholders.
• Support the legal team with documentation and case preparation as needed.

Profile

A successful Legal Collections Specialist should have:

• 3 years of legal experience, ideally in retail real estate, or within a law firm setting.
• Educational background in law, finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of legal processes and regulations related to collections.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems used in collections and legal processes.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
