Job Description
- Lead Kaizen events and Lean improvement workshops to enhance efficiency, product flow, and overall operational performance.
- Use A3 problem-solving, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping to identify issues, streamline processes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Coach and develop production teams in Lean principles, helping embed daily management systems and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze production processes through time studies, waste identification, and workflow assessments to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Champion 5S, standardized work, and waste elimination to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Optimize manufacturing processes by troubleshooting issues, improving stability and repeatability, and supporting equipment or layout enhancements.
- Lead cross-functional cost‑reduction and performance‑improvement projects, delivering measurable savings and presenting progress to leadership.
- Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to reduce scrap, address process variation, and improve overall product performance.
- Ensure long‑term sustainability of improvements by establishing strong controls, documentation, and standardized work practices.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Lean Manufacturing Engineer Should Have
- A degree in engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Formal Lean or Continuous Improvement certifications are a plus
