Inventory Finance Manager

This role will oversee inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment across wholesale accounts, distribution centers, and retail partners to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.

Description

• Develop and maintain demand forecasting models in Microsoft Excel from scratch, utilizing historical sales data, seasonality trends, customer orders, promotions, and growth assumptions.
• Create SKU-level, customer-level, and channel-level forecasts to support inventory and purchasing decisions.
• Own inventory planning processes, balancing service levels, inventory turns, and working capital objectives.
• Analyze sales performance, inventory health, stock-outs, overstock situations, and forecast accuracy.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting reviews with Sales and Leadership teams.
• Generate purchasing recommendations and replenishment plans based on forecasted demand and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
• Manage wholesale order allocation during periods of constrained inventory.
• Develop reporting dashboards and planning tools within Excel to improve visibility into inventory and sales trends.
• Establish and continuously improve inventory processes, metrics, and planning methodologies as the business scales.
• Monitor key KPIs including fill rate, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, weeks of supply, and service levels.
• Support annual budgeting and sales planning processes through data-driven forecasting and scenario modeling.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, supply chain, wholesale operations, or related functions.
• Demonstrated experience building demand forecasting models from scratch in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced Excel skills including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • Power Query
  • INDEX/MATCH and XLOOKUP
  • SUMIFS
  • Forecasting and trend analysis
  • Scenario modeling
  • Data visualization and dashboard creation
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, replenishment planning, and demand forecasting methodologies.
• Experience supporting wholesale, consumer products, footwear, apparel, sporting goods, or retail businesses.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to leadership teams.
