Responsibilities
Job Description
- Manage and develop a team of Project / Project‑Process Engineers
- Drive standardized engineering, estimating, and documentation best practices
- Oversee estimating activities and review costs, manufacturability, and quality alignment
- Ensure disciplined use of ERP systems (BOMs, routings, revisions, configuration control)
- Lead NPD and new project execution from process design through first article shipment
- Partner with Manufacturing to ensure clean handoffs and robust process documentation
- Drive value engineering, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical input for customer presentations, supplier engagements, and site visits
- Analyze planned vs. actual cost and process data to support decision‑making
- Support PFMEAs, time studies, and documented lessons learned
- Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development for direct reports
The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate
- BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Proven experience managing engineers and delivering projects end‑to‑end
- Strong background in fabrication processes (sheet metal, welding, machining, assembly, heat treat)
- SolidWorks proficiency and strong ERP experience
- Estimating, cost analysis, and manufacturing launch expertise
- Working knowledge of GD&T and PFMEAs
- Strong communicator with the ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functionally
- Self‑starter with excellent prioritization skills in a multi‑project environment
