The Estimator - Multifamily - D.C. will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting and project planning.
- Sourcing and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintaining and update cost databases to ensure accurate and current pricing information.
- Assisting in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
- Preparing and present cost reports and summaries to stakeholders.
- Monitoring ongoing projects to ensure adherence to the approved budget and address any discrepancies.
The Successful Applicant
The Estimator - Multifamily - D.C. Should Have
- 5 years in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction.
- Multifamily project experience preferred
- Must be able to quickly and accurately review plans and evaluate drawings.
- Familiarity with local jurisdictions, codes and review processes a plus.
- Superior attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
