Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop comprehensive preconstruction plans.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Identify and evaluate potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support bid preparation and submission processes, including reviewing contractor proposals and negotiations.
  • Maintain updated cost databases and ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to ensure adherence to the established budget and timelines.

A successful Estimator professional should have:

  • Strong knowledge of construction estimating and preconstruction processes.
  • Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
