Job Description

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial projects across multiple sectors.
• Analyze plans, specifications, addenda, and other project documents.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs across all major trades.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
• Develop clear scopes of work and pricing breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction team members.
• Assist in value engineering, budgeting, and cost‑saving strategies.
• Maintain historical cost data, bid logs, and estimating documentation.
• Ensure estimates are complete, competitive, and aligned with project goals.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience estimating commercial construction projects (ground‑up and/or renovations).
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Must be local to the Statesboro area or within reasonable commuting distance.
