We are seeking an experienced Drywall Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial drywall, interiors, and service projects throughout the DC Metro area, typically ranging from $100K to $2M . You will coordinate field labor, vendors, materials, logistics, safety, and client relationships while helping establish the processes and team needed to support continued growth.

Client Details

Join an ambitious, early-stage specialty contractor backed by an established pipeline of commercial construction work throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. The business is investing in its people, equipment, technology, and self-perform capabilities, creating significant opportunities for early team members to grow as the operation scales.

Description

  • Oversee approximately 6-7 concurrent projects, ranging from smaller service assignments to $1M-$2M drywall packages.
  • Manage commercial drywall, framing, ACT ceilings, interiors, and specialty trade work across the DC Metro region.
  • Coordinate foremen, field labor, subcontractors, and third-party labor vendors to ensure projects remain properly staffed.
  • Spend approximately three days per week visiting smaller projects, with additional time dedicated to larger active jobs.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, tools, equipment, and jobsite logistics across multiple project locations.
  • Support warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries and coordinating the movement of materials and equipment between jobsites.
  • Attend jobsite and contractor meetings and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor workmanship, schedules, site safety, and overall project quality.
  • Review upcoming manpower and material needs to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Operations Coordinator to improve field processes as the company grows.
  • Help identify and develop skilled field personnel as the organization expands its internal labor capabilities.
  • Utilize ToolWatch to support equipment, tool, and operational management.
  • Take ownership of field execution and help establish standards for a growing construction operation.

Profile

  • 5 years of commercial drywall experience required, with 7-15 years of commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall, metal framing, and ACT ceilings.
  • Proven experience supervising multiple projects simultaneously, rather than managing only one large jobsite.
  • Experience delivering projects ranging from approximately $100K service work through $2M commercial contracts.
  • Background in commercial interiors, K-12, multifamily, government, occupied buildings, or renovation work.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, foremen, skilled tradespeople, and outsourced labor vendors.
  • Strong understanding of materials, deliveries, tools, equipment, procurement, and construction logistics.
  • Ability to coordinate manpower and resources across multiple active jobsites.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and confidence working directly with General Contractors and owners.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and capable of operating independently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong commitment to jobsite quality and safety.
  • ToolWatch experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Company truck
  • Generous Annual Bonus
