Job Description
- Lead and oversee power delivery projects across transmission, distribution, substations, protection & controls, interconnection, and related infrastructure throughout the U.S.
- Provide strategic technical leadership across engineering, design, project management, and execution
- Manage, mentor, and grow teams of Project Managers, engineers, designers, and technical staff
- Serve as a senior client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships while supporting projects from concept through execution
- Partner with leadership to expand market presence, grow client relationships, and pursue new opportunities
- Drive recruiting, retention, and development of top technical talent
- Lead annual business planning, including revenue forecasting, staffing strategy, and growth initiatives
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
- Improve internal processes, delivery standards, QA/QC practices, and operational scalability
- Coordinate across internal teams, utility clients, developers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Establish and maintain technical standards and best practices across the Power Delivery group
- Promote a culture of technical excellence, accountability, mentorship, and proactive communication
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Director Of Project Delivery Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (PE preferred)
- 12 years of experience in power & energy, utilities, or related infrastructure work
- Experience across transmission, distribution, substations, protection & controls, interconnection, or power system studies
- Proven client-facing leadership experience with strong communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated success leading and developing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong business and strategic planning experience (forecasting, staffing, growth initiatives)
- Solid understanding of engineering/design workflows for utility and high-voltage infrastructure projects
- Experience partnering with utilities, developers, IPPs, or large infrastructure clients preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $190,000 USD.
