Job Description
Operational Leadership
- Forecast and allocate manpower across multiple projects based on skill sets, schedules, and financial impacts.
- Manage pay scales, craft training, and career development initiatives.
- Lead and support the Commercial General Superintendent, Flatwork Superintendent, Layout Manager, and Project Management team.
- Uphold company safety standards and ensure all commercial unit staff adhere to daily and monthly safety requirements.
- Ensure all work conforms to project specs and contract requirements.
- Oversee change order processes and ensure cost capture.
- Partner with teams to develop and track labor productivity goals.
- Lead weekly project reviews to monitor performance and execution.
- Engage in project planning to manage concrete access, hoisting, logistics, washout, lane closures, and more.
- Ensure proper inspection and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Train field leaders to improve efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Collaborate on project estimates to validate production rates, equipment needs, suppliers, and material selections.
- Support the layout manager in maintaining consistent standards, equipment readiness, timely as-builts, and accurate layout delivery.

The Successful Applicant
A Successful Commercial Operations Manager Should Have
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 10 years of construction experience, including 5 years in concrete.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing teams or units.
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and teach safe equipment operation and standard practices.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and motivate high-performing teams.
- Full-time, stable workload
- Salary: $120,000-$145,000
