Job Description
- Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for commercial and municipal projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope.
- Produce quantity takeoffs and pricing across divisions up to CSI Division 33.
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
- Support public and private competitive bids, CMAR, and Design‑Build pursuits.
- Collaborate closely with preconstruction leadership and project teams.
- Maintain clear documentation and bid records for awarded projects.
- Support handoff from preconstruction to operations teams.
The Successful Applicant
- 3-5 years of estimating or relevant construction experience.
- Experience with ground‑up and/or renovation/interiors projects.
- Strong preference for commercial project exposure in:
- Institutional & Education
- Adaptive Reuse
- Food & Beverage (Breweries)
- Municipal
- Retail
- Ability to provide a project list of bids won within the past 3-5 years
- (including project type, size, and value).
- Working knowledge of CSI MasterFormat through Division 33.
- Will consider candidates with prior experience as a subcontractor
- (concrete, steel, masonry, or earthwork).
- Familiarity with NC & SC subcontractor/vendor markets.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication ability.
- Stable work history; jumpy resumes not preferred (RFLs required if applicable).
- Genuine passion for construction and pride in delivered work.
