Job Description

• Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for commercial and municipal projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope.
• Produce quantity takeoffs and pricing across divisions up to CSI Division 33.
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Support public and private competitive bids, CMAR, and Design‑Build pursuits.
• Collaborate closely with preconstruction leadership and project teams.
• Maintain clear documentation and bid records for awarded projects.
• Support handoff from preconstruction to operations teams.

The Successful Applicant

• 3-5 years of estimating or relevant construction experience.
• Experience with ground‑up and/or renovation/interiors projects.
• Strong preference for commercial project exposure in:
• Institutional & Education
• Adaptive Reuse
• Food & Beverage (Breweries)
• Municipal
• Retail
• Ability to provide a project list of bids won within the past 3-5 years
• (including project type, size, and value).
• Working knowledge of CSI MasterFormat through Division 33.
• Will consider candidates with prior experience as a subcontractor
• (concrete, steel, masonry, or earthwork).
• Familiarity with NC & SC subcontractor/vendor markets.
• Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication ability.
• Stable work history; jumpy resumes not preferred (RFLs required if applicable).
• Genuine passion for construction and pride in delivered work.
