Our client is a full-service heavy and civil construction company based in New Jersey, founded over 100 years ago. The company provides a wide range of infrastructure services, including highway and bridge construction, rock excavation, pile driving, demolition, water main cleaning and lining, tunneling, and utility installations such as fiber-optic cable and underground transmission lines for electric, gas, water, and communication systems. It serves governmental agencies, developers, utilities, and private clients.

Description

  • Review Project Plans & Specifications: Analyze drawings and documents for site work and utility requirements.
  • Assess Site Conditions: Evaluate soil, grading, drainage, and existing infrastructure impacts.
  • Prepare Cost Estimates: Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for earthwork, stormwater systems, water/sewer lines, and related utilities.
  • Quantity Takeoffs: Measure and quantify excavation, pipe lengths, and other components accurately.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential challenges such as soil conditions, utility conflicts, and environmental regulations.
  • Bid Preparation: Compile estimates into competitive proposals for clients or general contractors.
  • Coordination: Work with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to validate costs and timelines.
  • Compliance: Ensure estimates meet local codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
