Job Description
Territory Growth & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to accelerate revenue growth in the Central U.S. territory.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the organization's ingredient capabilities.
- Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline across near‑, mid‑, and long‑term horizons.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to engage buyers, formulators, R&D teams, and technical stakeholders.
- Manage key accounts to maintain volume and expand product usage.
- Represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and customer-facing industry events.
- Work closely with the executive team to support annual revenue goals, strategic planning, and margin management.
- Partner with marketing to generate leads, support trade shows, and create market-driven messaging.
- Coordinate with customer service, operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Prepare forecasting, annual sales quotas, pipeline reports, call summaries, pricing requests, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred) to manage communication and opportunity progression.
- Support profit goals through appropriate product mix and margin management.

The Successful Applicant
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5 years of experience in sales or account management, ideally selling ingredients into the nutraceutical, supplement, or functional beverage sectors.
- Proven success in prospecting, territory development, and growing new accounts.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with commercial and technical audiences.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and make sound business decisions.
- High level of organization with skill in managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
- Motivated, proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and strong relationship-building abilities.
- Base salary $120,000 - $140,000, pending experience.
