Description

  • Project Coordination:

    • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
    • Support project managers in tracking project milestones and deliverables.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and change orders.
    • Prepare and update progress reports, meeting minutes, and project status updates.
  • Budget and Cost Management:

    • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, helping to identify and address cost overruns.
    • Assist in preparing cost estimates and managing purchase orders.
  • Quality Control:

    • Ensure construction work complies with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
    • Conduct site inspections and coordinate with inspectors and subcontractors.
  • Communication and Liaison:

    • Act as a point of contact between clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate communication and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Promote and enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Resource Management:

    • Assist in the coordination of labor, materials, and equipment required for the project.
    • Help manage subcontractors and ensure timely delivery of resources.
  • Scheduling:

    • Help develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as necessary.
    • Coordinate with various trades and teams to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations:

    • Support in managing client expectations and addressing any concerns or changes requested.
    • Participate in client meetings and project review sessions.
  • Problem-Solving:

    • Assist in identifying and resolving project issues and obstacles.
    • Provide recommendations and solutions to keep the project on track.

Profile

  • Educational Background:

    • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in construction project management, preferably with a focus on educational and senior living facilities.
    • Experience in both field and office environments, including coordination and oversight.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Project Management Abilities:

    • Ability to assist in planning, scheduling, and executing projects efficiently.
    • Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and controlling costs.
