About Our Client

Our client is a well‑established organization within the education and digital content space undergoing significant operational and systems change. Following multiple audits and regulatory activity, the organization is strengthening its royalties function with a leader who brings deep technical royalty experience, Vistex expertise, and a fresh, end‑to‑end process perspective.

Job Description

• Serve as the business owner and SME for royalty systems, including Vistex (required)
• Lead and manage a team responsible for accurate, complete, and timely royalty data
• Own royalty statements, percentage‑based payouts, and contract interpretation
• Review and approve royalty deals, amendments, and system configurations
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Audit, and Technology teams
• Validate and approve royalty payments; support internal and external audits
• Identify, resolve, and prevent royalty discrepancies (over/under payments)
• Define, document, and improve end‑to‑end royalty workflows and controls
• Participate in and lead Vistex implementation, optimization, and testing
• Assess current‑state platforms and help design future‑state metadata and systems architecture
• Establish data quality metrics, dashboards, and remediation processes
• Mentor, coach, and develop royalty and data professionals through change

The Successful Applicant

• 5 years of hands‑on royalty experience (required)
• Direct experience with Vistex and Vistex implementations (required)
• Strong background in royalty statements, contracts, and percentage calculations
• Proven experience navigating audits, controls, and financial governance
• Comfortable acting as the single point of accountability for royalty accuracy
• Experience working with ERP and reporting tools (Power BI, Snowflake preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and confident managing multiple priorities
• Change‑oriented leader with the ability to influence across complex organizations
• Experience interpreting contracts (AI‑assisted tools a plus)
