Michael Best is searching for a Financial Applications Delivery Lead. This role involves maintaining and supporting Financial Applications, enhancing existing functionality, and implementing new modules or packages. The individual will work directly with business users and technology groups on requirements analysis, planning, design, configuration, integration, scripting, testing, debugging, documenting, and support for Firm business applications.
The Financial Applications Delivery Lead will report to the Director of Finance & Accounting and will also work closely with the Finance teams as well as technology personnel.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Supports software related to the Firm’s customized or packaged financial applications
- Provides support to all staff on all financial applications supported by the Firm
- Works independently or as a member of cross-functional teams, to execute projects that support the Firm's technology initiatives.
- Interfaces with and manages deliverables and acts as liaison and primary point of contact for the vendors of financial platforms.
- Develops and reviews data design, interface, user, functional and technical design documentation
- Ensures that the financial platforms meet business needs, integrates with enterprise data strategies, and complies with IT governance and data architecture.
- Ensures all downtime, regular preventative maintenance, security patch updates and software upgrades are planned, implemented, and communicated to all teams
- Maintains a high level of responsiveness to calls and inquiries
- Able to clearly explain technical concepts using non-technical language
- Ensures a good proactive working relationship is maintained with others within the IT Department
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
- Minimum 6 years’ experience working in a IT systems applications environment required, ideally in a professional services type environment
- Five years managing high-performance back-office and administrative support systems, including Aderant Expert, and other Finance & Accounting custom and packaged applications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- In-depth knowledge of Aderant Expert technology.
- Experience with client-server and web-compliant development tools.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases.
- Understanding of technology, architecture, deployment, and QA practices.
- Experience with BigSquare, Service Now, Chromeriver, and Power BI a plus.
- Solid working experience in current Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
