Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, domestic violence, adoption, separation agreements, and related issues.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Attend hearings, mediations, conferences, and court proceedings.
- Maintain clear, compassionate, and prompt communication with clients.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure streamlined case management.
- Participate in firm meetings, case reviews, and team-building initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and energetic firm culture.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar (or eligible for reciprocity).
- 1–3 years of family law experience preferred; recent graduates with strong interest in family law are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
