Michael Aaron Staffing has partnered with a leading medical malpractice defense firm seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to support a busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical malpractice litigation and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through trial.
This firm needs a highly skilled, organized, and proactive litigation paralegal who can independently manage complex medical malpractice matters while providing exceptional support to the legal team.
Qualifications
- Previous medical malpractice litigation experience required
- Strong knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures
- Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records
- Excellent organizational and case management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Responsibilities
- Manage medical malpractice case files from intake through resolution
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records
- Draft pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Coordinate depositions, expert witnesses, and trial preparation
- Maintain litigation calendars and deadlines
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support
