About the Role

We are hiring a Production Artwork & Data Entry Specialist whose primary focus will be color separation, artwork preparation, and production data management.

⚠️ Important:

This role is not a creative branding or logo design position.

In the beginning, the role will focus heavily on:

• Color separating artwork for screen printing

• Preparing files for production

• Organizing artwork and order information

• Data entry and internal workflow tracking

Design consultation with brands or creating original logos is not part of the initial responsibilities of this role.

As you grow within the company and demonstrate strong production understanding, there may be opportunities to expand into additional creative responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Production Artwork Responsibilities

Prepare artwork for screen printing, embroidery, and DTF production.

Create and refine color separations for screen printing, including:

• Spot color separations
• Underbases
• Channel separations
• Production-ready artwork setups

Convert artwork into clean, press-ready files by:

• Outlining fonts
• Cleaning vectors
• Correcting color modes
• Adjusting sizing and placements

Ensure artwork works within actual press capabilities and garment limitations.

Organize digital artwork folders connected to active production jobs.

Prepare mockups and simple artwork revisions when needed.

Data Entry & Workflow Coordination

A large portion of this role involves data entry and internal production tracking.

Responsibilities include:

• Entering order and artwork information into internal systems
• Maintaining organized job records and artwork libraries
• Updating order status and tracking production progress
• Maintaining spreadsheets using Excel or Google Sheets

Basic spreadsheet functions used regularly:

• Sorting
• Filtering
• SUM formulas
• Order tracking logs

Accuracy and organization are extremely important for this role.

Who We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates are organized production-minded designers, not purely creative designers.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience with graphic design or production artwork
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required)
• Basic experience with screen printing color separations
• Understanding of spot colors vs CMYK
• Basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Comfortable working in a production-driven environment

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Valuable)

• Experience working in a screen printing shop
• Familiarity with Printavo or production software
• Embroidery artwork preparation
• Advanced color separation knowledge
• Production workflow coordination
