Role Description
The Ocean Export Coordinator will manage the end-to-end process of coordinating export shipments for international clients. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Piscataway, NJ. Responsibilities include:
- Taking inquiries and quotations
- Customer service by phone and by e-mail
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- AES (automated export system) data-entry and reporting
- B/L preparation
- Interfacing with Air & Ocean carriers, overseas agents, internal departments, regulatory bodies and others
Qualifications
- Experience with Export Documentation and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Ocean shipping and Export processes
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with relevant regulations in international shipping is beneficial
- 3 years of experience in the shipping industry
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Motivated quick learner / self-starter who can work under minimal supervision
- Ability to plan ahead and achieve results in a multi-tasking environment
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
