Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Shipping Manager, located in Piscataway, NJ. The Shipping Manager will:
- Manage end‑to‑end ocean, air, and land freight operations.
- Coordinate packing, crating, lashing, loading, and drayage for machinery and OOG cargo.
- Prepare and review shipping documents (B/L, MAWB/HAWB, invoices, packing lists, AES filings).
- Ensure compliance with US Customs, BIS, FMC, TSA, and international regulations.
- Communicate with carriers, airlines, truckers, packers, and customers.
- Track shipments, resolve delays, and provide timely updates.
- Review vendor invoices and support cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field is preferred
- 5 years in freight forwarding or shipping operations.
- Strong knowledge of airfreight and ocean freight procedures.
- Experience with machinery, industrial equipment, or OOG/project cargo preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with carrier/airline portals and MS Office.
