Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center by managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility. This position involves order fulfillment, inventory management, and maintaining accurate records of shipments and receipts.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Utilize equipment such as dollies for loading and unloading packages.
- Maintain inventory levels by tracking stock and performing regular audits.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing packages.
- Collaborate with office team to fulfill orders efficiently.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area.
- Communicate with vendors and carriers regarding shipment schedules and discrepancies.
- Assist in picking, packing, and staging products for delivery.
Skills
- Proficiency in order fulfillment processes within a distribution center environment.
- Experience with shipping and receiving operations.
- Ability to operate dollies and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory management and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and customers.
- Be able stand and/or sit long periods of time; 6 hours.
- Be able to lift up to 40 lbs; crouching, twisting, and bending are common movements associated with this job.
