POSITION: Regional Executive Chef

 LOCATION: Buffalo, NY, Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Buffalo NY commute area (Relocation Assistance Available)

 SALARY: 120K

 

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we are seeking an EXCEPTIONAL System Executive Chef with a Michelin Star quality vision that includes menu development, quality ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques and a mentoring leadership style. We are seeking a Culinary Leader to manage a regional healthcare dining system including hospitals, senior living and rehabilitation centers. Our System Executive Chef will reinforce our culture, values and attributes creating an environment for personal growth, enrichment and career success.

 

The System Executive Chef’s primary role is to serve as a Corporate Support resource to local General Managers and Food Service Team Members. Additionally, our System Chef will be responsible for balancing the needs and goals of our Client-Partners, and Executive Leadership Team with the Metz Culinary Management collective business goals.

 

This leadership role is a broad, and encompassing responsibility prioritizing patient satisfaction, growth of sales, profits and Team Member excellence. Process improvement experience in a multi-outlet setting is a MUST. The System Executive Chef is expected to model the Metz Culinary Management values, vision and culture. There are several key success indicators including: menu promoting excellence, sales growth, consistent profitability commensurate with the sales levels, operating conditions, patient satisfaction scores and the retention of our most valued stakeholders.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MUST LIVE IN OR RELOCATE TO THE BUFFALO / NIAGARA REGION 
  • Proven Leadership in a District or System setting
  • Classically Trained with Certified Executive Chef (CEC) or ProChef Credentials
  • 5-10 years of industry experience with multi-site responsibilities
  • Experience in award-winning properties; Michelin, James Beard, Platinum Clubs is a big plus! 
  • Demonstrated progressive career growth
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Polished Client Relation skills
  • Available for consistent local travel

 


The Regional Executive Chef’s primary role is to serve as a leader and support resource to General Managers and Executive Chef’s Culinary Program while balancing the needs and goals of our Client-Partners and business goals. The Leadership role is broad, encompassing responsibility for growth of sales, profits and employees in the primary operating area. The Regional Executive Chef is expected to model The Metz Culinary Management Corporate Values and Employee Attributes in the exercise of his/her responsibilities. There are several key success indicators: sales growth, consistent profitability commensurate with the sales levels and operating conditions and the retention of our most valued stakeholders.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership in a similar position with recent experience in Higher Education, multi-facility leadership setting
  • 5-10 years of Industry leadership experience in a strong Executive Chef role with multi-site responsibilities
  • Demonstrated Career Progression
  • Proven success in Change Management
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with stunning presentation ideas
  • Polished Client Relation skills to include all levels of Organizational Executive Leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to travel as required
