Food Service Team Members

Job Summary

We are looking for energetic and reliable Cooks and Food Service Team Members to join our dynamic food service team at Minnowbrook Conference Center.

In this role, you will be a key player in delivering delicious, high-quality meals in a lively environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, eager to learn, and thrives in a team setting. This position offers a great opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.

Duties

• Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, following established recipes and standards.
• Support food production processes including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations by following food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Help with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to meet quality expectations.
• Follow food handling guidelines to ensure safe serving practices and prevent contamination.
• Contribute to menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods.

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
• Familiarity with dietary aide tasks or dietary department experience is a plus.
• Experience with fine dining or high-volume food production environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety management, recipe adherence, and catering procedures is beneficial.
• Skills in knife handling, grilling, braising, and other culinary techniques are highly valued.
• Previous restaurant experience or culinary experience that demonstrates strong food handling and kitchen skills will help you succeed.
