What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Hyundai Automotive Technician position at MetroWest Hyundai?
MetroWest Hyundai and Genesis of Framingham has an immediate opening for Hyundai and/or certified Automotive Service Technician.
The Technician position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles with integrity and ethics, and maintaining a positive relationship with clients who return with unsatisfactory work in accordance with dealership policies and standards.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following,
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
- Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs, if authorized by the customer.
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
- Road-test to confirm problems were resolved and the vehicle's operation will meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Maintain an organized and neat workstation.
Qualifications
- Hyundai and/or Kia Certified preferred.
- Organization and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Knowledge of the automotive repair life cycle
- Ability to operate an automobile, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Valid in-state driver’s license, and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
