PRN (On Call) Valet

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the MHS Manager or Lead Valet, the Valet greets patients and visitors with a friendly attitude and provides helpful, safe parking services. This role is responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles in a careful and timely manner, assisting guests at the hospital entrance, and ensuring a smooth and professional experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities

Safely drive, park, and retrieve vehicles while following all traffic laws

Greet every guest with a warm and professional attitude

Help patients and visitors with directions, bags, and getting in or out of their vehicles

Check for and note any damage on vehicles before taking them

Record valet ticket numbers and parking locations correctly

Explain parking rates and how the valet process works to patients and visitors

Report accidents right away to your supervisor or Lane Captain

Keep the valet area clean, organized, and safe always

Maintain patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

At least 3 years of driving experience

Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record

Must be able to drive both automatic and manual (stick shift) vehicles

Able to do basic math with time and money; understand 24-hour and military time

Must speak, read, and write English fluently

Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.

Must pass a background check, drug screening, and required health screenings

Strong communication skills and a professional appearance

Friendly, reliable, and passionate about helping people
Physical Requirements

Must be comfortable working outside in all weather (rain, snow, heat, etc.)

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, see, and hear

Able to lift/move up to 100 lbs occasionally

Able to push or pull wheelchairs (100–350 lbs) over long distances
-
The ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours such as weekends, holidays, and longer shifts is sometimes required.
