The Construction Project Coordinator supports the Construction Project Manager and is responsible for the administration and coordination functions of all project phases from planning, engineering, construction, and closeout to ensure all projects are completed on-time and within budget. The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing Metrocare’s Real Estate portfolio for the Facilities Department. HOURS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and occasional weekends ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job. Manage Metrocare’s Real Estate portfolio to maintain and organize all lease & purchase agreements, deeds, mortgages, and other real estate property legal documents for the Facility Group Department. Coordinates work with project architects, engineers, contractors, and city officials. Coordinates work with internal project stakeholders. Participate in meetings to coordinate work and manage action items. Create, manage, and distribute project related meeting agendas and minutes. Assists with the procurement of equipment, supplies and services for assigned projects. Assists Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers with RFP process as needed. Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs. Coordinate project permits and inspections with associated city officials. Provide administrative support to project managers to help ensure scope, schedule, and budget are met on all projects assigned. Manage project closeout for all assigned projects. Proactively and professionally communicate with clients and project partners. Learn & understand CARF and Behavioral Health standards as they apply to Metrocare Operations and Facilities. Microsoft Office applications are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project). Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines. Ability to handle multiple tasks and special projects simultaneously. Able to work autonomously with minimal or no supervision. Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Must have background knowledge of Fire and Life Safety/ADA codes as they pertain to Metrocare operations. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or other related field Required: 0-2 years project coordination experience in behavioral health and/or healthcare commercial construction experience Preferred: 3 years of Project Coordination experience in behavioral health and/or healthcare commercial construction experience DRIVING REQUIRED: Yes MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills required. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to interpret project needs/challenges and provide solutions while maintaining compliance with Metrocare best practices. COMPUTER SKILLS: Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
