Metro Staffing Partners is recruiting an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a stable and growing manufacturing operation. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a skilled technician who can troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Install electrical and electronic controls on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Troubleshoot electrical power and water-distribution systems.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical components, including brushes, armatures, motors, and related parts.
- Install and monitor electrical equipment for safety hazards, necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacement.
- Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, wiring, panels, breakers, conduit, equipment, and new electrical services.
- Mount motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, and related equipment according to diagram specifications.
- Test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing instruments.
- Document maintenance activity and work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Search for replacement parts and equipment information using a computer.
- Provide guidance or work direction to junior maintenance technicians when needed.
- Complete additional maintenance assignments as directed by the department leader.
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least four years of relevant industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical power systems, motors, transformers, panels, breakers, and conduit.
- Ability to use computers to locate parts and enter maintenance work into a CMMS.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

- Use hands and tools with a high level of manual dexterity.
- Safely lift at least 50 pounds.
