Electro Mechanical Technician – 3rd Shift
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Ripon, Wisconsin (On-site)
Shift: 3rd Shift (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Job Summary
We are seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician to support manufacturing operations by assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electromechanical equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, align, fit, and install mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
- Install electrical and electronic components using soldering equipment and standard assembly tools.
- Test electromechanical equipment using diagnostic instruments such as oscilloscopes and electronic voltmeters.
- Perform troubleshooting and identify mechanical or electrical issues.
- Prepare new equipment for operation by following established procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and performance.
- Record maintenance activities and equipment performance using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support operational goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent education/training in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or electromechanical assembly.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and testing instruments.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to document maintenance activities in a CMMS.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
- Experience reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or assembly instructions.
