What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pest Control Technician (Male Preferred) position at Metro Hospitality?
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect hotel rooms, common areas, storage, and exterior spaces to identify pest activity or potential risks.
- Apply safe and effective pest control treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and follow a regular treatment schedule for all hotel properties.
- Monitor and document all pest control activities, including chemicals used, treatment areas, and follow-ups.
- Educate hotel staff on preventative pest control practices (e.g., sanitation, food storage, waste management).
- Collaborate with hotel management to respond promptly to guest or staff pest concerns.
- Maintain and service pest control equipment and ensure all materials are properly stored.
- Comply with all safety procedures and hotel policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Pest Control Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Previous experience in pest control (hospitality or property management industry preferred).
- Knowledge of common pests (bed bugs, roaches, rodents, ants, etc.) and appropriate treatment methods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces, attics, or outdoors.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record (may be required to travel between properties).
