Job Summary
The Maintenance Person plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the environment safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, be skilled in troubleshooting and repair, and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other essential building systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Oversee residential painting projects to ensure quality finishes and adherence to timelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with staff and visitors regarding maintenance issues.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a maintenance setting.
- A background in manufacturing environments is advantageous, enhancing understanding of production-related maintenance needs. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency within the facility.
