Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail operations. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize sales
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are met
- Implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase store traffic and revenue
- Manage POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills
- Develop and monitor budgets, payroll, and bookkeeping activities to ensure financial health of the store
- Coordinate purchasing decisions and pricing strategies in collaboration with vendors and suppliers
- Utilize organizational skills to maintain an orderly store environment
- Engage in shift management, scheduling staff shifts effectively to meet business needs
- Apply management best practices including supervision experience, leadership, and team management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in negotiation, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with inventory management systems (POS), merchandising, stock control, and retail math
- Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales management
- Familiarity with grocery stores or similar retail environments is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure
- Supervising experience combined with a strong understanding of retail sales dynamics is essential
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through effective communication and motivation techniques
