Senior Civil / Water Resources Engineer (PE) Florida
Fort Myers, (Hybrid Working)
A growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) with strong experience in water resources, stormwater, and public infrastructure projects to join its Florida team.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and working directly with public-sector clients on meaningful infrastructure and environmental projects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and delivery of water resources, stormwater, and civil infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering plans, calculations, and technical reports
- Manage tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors
- Perform internal QA/QC reviews of designs and deliverables
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers
- Support construction phase services and project implementation
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Florida PE license with at least 3 years post-licensure experience
- 8 years total civil engineering experience preferred
- Experience in water resources, stormwater, or public-sector civil projects
- Working knowledge of ICPR, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or GIS tools preferred
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting and design regulations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
