NDT Level III Responsible Engineer

A growing aerospace nondestructive testing organization is seeking an experienced NDT Level III Responsible Engineer to lead and oversee all NDT operations at its Southern California facility.
This is a senior leadership role with full technical authority across methods, procedures, personnel certification, and compliance. The position offers direct visibility with major aerospace customers and the opportunity to influence quality and operational performance at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Level III authority across RT, MT, PT, and UT methods
Act as final approval authority for procedures, techniques, and personnel certifications
Ensure compliance with NAS 410 and SNT TC 1A requirements
Lead Nadcap audit preparation and execution as primary technical interface
Provide technical approvals and sign off for critical aerospace programs
Lead and develop a team of approximately 70 NDT professionals
Drive high level decision making to ensure quality, compliance, and operational excellence
Qualifications
Certified NDT Level III with multi method experience preferred
Strong knowledge of NAS 410 and SNT TC 1A
Experience supporting Nadcap audits
Proven experience acting as a Responsible Level III or approval authority
Aerospace industry experience required
