What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Level II Technician position at Metric Geo?
We’re hiring an experienced NDT Technician for an aviation-focused role based in Grand Junction, Colorado.
This is a hands-on position supporting a growing aircraft services team. The role will be heavily focused on penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, with additional AOG/mobile work when required.
You’ll be joining a flexible, self-managed team where technicians are trusted to run their work, manage schedules, travel when needed, and support customers directly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing NDT inspections within an aviation/MRO environment
- Primarily PT/MT work, with some additional inspection methods depending on experience
- Supporting AOG requirements across the region when needed
- Working independently and managing customer-facing inspection work
- Occasional travel, typically short trips, with a fluid schedule
Ideal background:
- NDT Level II experience
- Strong PT/MT experience
- Aviation, aerospace, MRO, or aircraft maintenance background preferred
- UT or ET experience would be a bonus
- Comfortable with travel and changing priorities
- Self-sufficient, flexible, and happy in a hands-on role
