Lead Estimator
Metric Geo has partnered with a reputable contractor to support a position which is a key part of the project delivery team. We need an experienced estimating professional looking for your next challenge on major heavy civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop estimates on major commercial construction projects
- Build and maintain relationships with trade partners and industry contacts
- Develop pricing strategies and bid advantages
- Manage risk identification and communication through procurement
- Price and survey self-performed work items
- Write, issue and manage bid packages
- Communicate scope and pricing to clients and senior management
- Mentor and train junior estimators
What You'll Need
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (or 9 years' equivalent experience)
- 5 years' estimating experience on large civil construction projects
- Working knowledge of UNIFORMAT and conceptual estimating
- Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, SAGE, or Assemble
- Strong communication skills and great attention to detail
