What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substation Project Manager position at Metric DCX?
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage project planning, execution, and closeout to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget, with a focus on profitability
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and resource plans
- Lead project kickoff meetings and communicate scope, timelines, and expectations
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle
- Monitor performance, provide status updates, and manage project closeout
Client Relations & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationship
- Communicate proactively and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Monitor client satisfaction and resolve issues as needed
- Provide regular updates and reporting aligned with project requirements
- Ensure clear understanding of project goals, expectations, and deliverables
Performance & Reporting
- Participate in regular project review meetings and provide performance updates
- Provide feedback on team performance to support evaluations and development
- maintain accurate and timely timekeeping and expense reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in a Project Manager or Project Coordinator
- Substation or transmission projects
