I'm currently working on behalf of a highly funded, rapidly growing technology organisation that is building some of the world's most advanced AI and high-performance computing infrastructure.
As demand for AI compute continues to accelerate globally, they are investing heavily in new data center capacity and are looking to appoint a Senior Data Center Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale, mission-critical construction projects across multiple regions.
This is a strategic position with significant visibility across the business and will play a key role in delivering infrastructure that supports next-generation AI technologies.

The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of complex data center developments from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest operational standards.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and executive leadership teams, you'll be responsible for driving programme performance, managing risk, and ensuring successful execution across all phases of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data center construction projects.
• Develop and manage integrated master schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness.
• Own project budgets, cost forecasting, reporting, cash flow management, and change control processes.
• Monitor project performance against key milestones and implement recovery plans where required.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
• Manage relationships with general contractors, consultants, commissioning partners, equipment vendors, and utility providers.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, particularly around critical-path activities and long-lead equipment.
• Drive governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication at executive level.
• Support contract negotiations, bid evaluations, vendor selection, and procurement strategy.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead project reviews, lessons learned exercises, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
• 10 years of project management experience delivering large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience within data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial developments, energy infrastructure, semiconductor facilities, or similar complex environments.
• Strong understanding of CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) project delivery.
• Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across geographically distributed teams.
• Deep understanding of construction methodologies, procurement processes, contract management, and risk mitigation.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where priorities evolve quickly.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance technical, financial, and operational considerations.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Ares Prism, Smartsheet, or similar project controls tools
- Experience delivering projects internationally
- Exposure to AI, cloud, HPC, or hyperscale infrastructure environments
- Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical degree
