Chief Operating Officer / SVP of Clinical Operations
Metric Bio is partnering with a leading global clinical research organization to identify an experienced senior leader for a SVP Clinical Operations / Chief Operating Officer (Clinical-focused) position.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in scaling and optimizing global clinical delivery across the US and APAC, within a high-growth, internationally active CRO environment.
The Role:
As SVP Clinical Operations / COO (Clinical), you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all clinical functions, ensuring delivery excellence, scalability, and high-performance execution across global programs. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will act as the key driver of clinical operations strategy and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale global Clinical Operations across US and APAC regions.
- Oversee Clinical Site Management, Quality Systems, Biostatistics, Regulatory Writing, and Project Management & Delivery.
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring high-quality and timely study execution.
- Design and implement scalable processes for FTE deployment, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic growth and expansion initiatives.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, globally distributed teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices across all operations.
Qualifications:
- Director, VP, SVP, or C-level experience within Clinical Operations at a leading CRO.
- Extensive Oncology Operations experience.
- Experience within scaled organizations ($150M revenue environment).
- Proven track record of designing, managing, and scaling global clinical operations.
- Strong experience across US and international clinical delivery environments (including APAC).
- Deep understanding of CRO delivery models, operational KPIs, and client expectations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
